Mr. Ezequiel Ramirez Guerrero passed away on February 4, 2003. The founder of Culebra Meat Market leaves a legacy of dedication to family and a vision of growth and service through the Culebra Meat Market brand.
Mr. Ezequiel Ramirez was born on April 10, 1932 in San Jose del Resplandor in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico. Mr. Ramirez dedicated himself to the buying and selling of cattle with his father in Laredo, Tamaulipas Mexico. Mr. Ramirez spent sixteen years in this trade. In 1962, Mr. Ramirez, at the age of 30 started work in construction for CONASUPO. In 1968, Mr. Ramirez moved to San Antonio, Texas where he continued his work in construction as a contractor. This was his trade until 1980 when he once again began the business of buying and selling cattle.
In 1980, Mr. Ramirez opened his first meat market and named it, ‘FARIAS Meat Market,’ on Poplar Street. In 1983, Mr. Ramirez moved his business to 2800 Culebra Road and renamed the meat market, ‘Culebra Meat Market.’
Through dedication, hard work and the vision of Mr. Ramirez, the Ramirez family now owns locations throughout the city with the Culebra Meat Market brand. The Ramirez family is dedicated to providing high quality products at fair prices to the community at large.

En memoria de un gran Señor Don Ezequiel Ramirez Guerrero Abril 10, 1932-Febrero 4, 2003[ Fundador de Culebra Meat Market, originario de San José del Resplandor , León Guanajuato, nació el 10 de Abril de 1932 donde a los 16 años de trabajo con su padre de Ganadero, comprando y vendiendo Ganado, hasta la edad de 30 años, ubicándose en Laredo, Tamaulipas en el año de 1962 donde trabajo de Obrero en Laredo, Tamaulipas en la CONASUPO hasta el año 1968 cambiando su residencia en el año 1968 a San Antonio, Texas donde empezó trabajando de Obrero de construcción, llegando a ser contratista hasta el año 1980, retomando en el año de 1980 de Nuevo su oficio de ganadero. Inaugurando en el año 1980 su primer carnicería llamada “Farías Meat Market” ubicada en la calle Poplar, hasta el año 1983, donde nace la cadena de Culebra Meat Market siendo la primera en el abrir la de la calle Culebra 2800. Hasta el presente año son 13 Culebras que con el trabajo y esfuerza de el y sus hijos, mantienen el sueno y la visión que un día tuvo su padre El Señor Ezequiel. |
